MarchGuard Now Live! |
|
After much testing MarchGuard
Point of Sale Insurance Premium system has gone live. Because of the
unique way that EasyStock has been developed, the integration of the
MarchGuard module has been pretty simple and proves that the idea of a
fully integrated, real time system where all tills and stock screens are
connected via a network, has been justified. The module required a
change to the way the Sales process is administered and a series of back
ground control file additions and changes. A number of our users have
reported that the addition of Marchguard has provided another method of
up-selling at point of sale.
Yet another reason to
use EasyStock! |

Better Training and Ad-Hoc Support |
|
The way users are trained is an
interesting subject. Some companies like to get your staff to attend an
intense session at their headquarters. This is often an expensive and
time consuming process, especially if you need the staff in the shop
during that time. Another problem is that you may not be able to send
all the staff that need training, some staff may require training on
only part of the system, directors or business owners may need to see
management reporting etc.
IJS Ltd have yet again initiated
another idea to save our users time and money while being able to
provide training and answers to queries at a time convenient to YOU.
With the installation of a dedicated training system, IJS can now
provide on-line training sessions. The is no need to consider the impact
of travelling and segmented training programs can be organised for those
staff who require specific knowledge. |

Better and more cost effective ways
to contact IJS |
|
VOIP is the buzzword at the
moment but IJS Ltd have been involved in this technology for sometime.
VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol), provides cheap or even free
telephone calls over the internet. By adding a small piece of software
to each computer and possibly a headset or a microphone and speakers,
all our users can converse with IJS pretty much for free. Added to this
is the ability to provide live video streams and file transfers. We use
Skype (www.skype.com - user name IanAtIJSLtd) for all our VOIP
facilities. While we are talking or simply 'chatting' using the
keyboard, we can also supply program updates and even transfer whole
backups via the file transfer facility. Support has been enhanced. IJS
Ltd now carry our Skype accounts on PDA's (Portable digital Assistant)
and laptops, so our users can be in contact with us all of the time. |

Enhanced support timing. |
|
During a recent conference, some
of our members of staff got talking to a jeweller who's shop owner had
purchased a system from 'alternative' supplier. During the conversation
and with no prompting from our staff, the subject moved to
computerisation of a jewellers shop. A number of points came up during
the conversation which were points which the user felt were lacking with
their current support. One was the availability of the support desk when
the user required it.
IJS Ltd would like to remind
our users that we have for some time provided support for emergency
calls on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Added to the fact we have been
using Skype for voice calls and INSTANT Messaging, we feel our support
is still some of the best available. |

Jan 2008 Web Site integration |
|
Did you know that EasyStock
integrates with a number of popular eCommerce web sites? Users simply
mark which items are available to be sold on 'the web' and EasyStock
does the rest. Upload the data directly into your chosen web site using
their own standard upload tools. EasyStock formats the data in exactly
the way required for your chosen preferred web site provider. Sites in
use at the moment include Amazon, Actinic and ebay. Contact us for more
details. |

April 2007. Reaching for the future |
|
Work is now progressing on the
conversion of EasyStock to use the .NET programming environment. Using
the new version 2 of the .NET Framework, EasyStock will be ready to make
the most of the Microsoft Vista operating system as it becomes
increasingly popular. |

SQL 2005 now installed in a number
of sites |
|
A number of existing users and
also all new user sites are now taking advantage of a number of new
enhancements including, extra security, provided by the installation of
the SQL 2005 database engine. In the SQL/Express 2005 desktop version,
the original restriction of 5 client logins has been removed. This means
that quite large installations can be achieved using simple, standard
workstation PC's running Windows XP/Pro. The Server version, already
installed at a number of EasyStock's largest users, is providing
increased speed and stability for some 'serious' reporting requirements.
IJS Ltd have taken this opportunity to add some rather interesting new
reports to EasyStock which allow those organisations using EasyStock
better assessment of the state of there business and therefore, better
market advantage. |

| Feb 1st 2007 |
|
February 2007. WOW!! |
| As 2007 opens, IJS Ltd find ourselves taking on more
and more new users. All this after it was decided early in 2006 to
scale down our advertising in the Trade Press. All new clients are being
passed to us via recommendations from existing users which appears to
prove how happy our existing client base is with both the EasyStock
application and our on going support. IJS Ltd would like to again thank
our users for their continuing support and their continuing confidence
which allows them to repeatedly recommend us to their business
colleagues. |

| October 2006 |
|
October 2006. Move to new
premises is completed |
| As October reaches us, we are happy to announce that we
are now fully installed in our new premises. Our move was prompted for
the need for extra space and access to additional support services
offered by the new location. We are now able to call upon a number of
additional businesses to supply like minded services such as computer
networking support. Our move closer to the local BT exchange has also
enabled us to increase our ADSL line speed which means software and data
uploads are quicker, resulting in better and faster support response
times. |
